upgrade maintenance

lisa will be effectively taking the site down for ~10-15 minutes later tonight (starting in about an hour, 7am GMT) while we upgrade a pretty important machine.

We could've probably done this without disruption, but it would've been incredibly complicated so we went the easy route this time, given how short the downtime is predicted to be.
