Also, the poll code recently locked up all the global databases and took down the site. We put up a temporary patch to speed it up while we continue rewriting the poll system to make it take advantage of all the new performance methodologies in the past few years. (the poll code is ancient and a DB hog....)
Update: Directory's back up. And the temporary patch to the poll system is doing great... it'll give us time to design the new poll system without being rushed/stressed.
