Server timeouts, pages slow to load, Syndication

Our bottleneck in the past couple of days has been due to the global cluster, which historically has been extremely idle. Its traffic has been slowly building over time. The non-clustered data on the site (memories, friend groups, polls, etc...), currently on global, will be clustered by whitaker, so global can return to its idle state. In the meantime, before Whitaker gets to it, we'll be adding another machine to help it out. The machine currently serving the syndication database is really too powerful for what it is doing, so we will be downgrading it and using the powerful machine to serve as another global cluster slave.

So, syndicated accounts will be unavailable for a short period of time this evening while we make this change, and the issues with the slow page loads should be fixed shortly thereafter.
