Ribeye journal entries missing

Earlier today we added another database server to our newest cluster, Ribeye. Brad was up too late working last night and made an error in the configuration that took us awhile to track down. There was no data loss, however some database reads were being directed to the wrong servers and as a result no content would display when the journals were accessed.

We're very sorry for the scare, and we're sending Brad to bed for his punishment.


Please do continue to check status.livejournal.org for updates during any type of outage. We do try to keep this updated whenever there are known problems that affect a large number of users, although sometimes unfortunately don't have more to tell you other than we are working on the problem.
