LJ Data Center Move This Friday

This is an update to our last post about the data center move this Friday November 18th. We have moved the time for this work to begin at 10pm Pacific (UTC/GMT -8). We expect to complete the work with some periods of unavailability over the course of 2 hours.

For those using domain aliasing for your journals, please update your DNS records to use a CNAME to point to www.livejournal.com. If you are unable to use a CNAME, you can update your DNS to point to our new IP- 204.9.177.18 after 10PM Friday night. If you are not using domain aliasing or are unsure of what I'm referring to - you can probably safely disregard this information.
